All Newwaste containers are equipped with a light cell on the outside. The yield of this cell powers the battery in the container. Because they are not solar cells but light cells, the yield is extra high. Unlike a solar cell, a light cell requires only daylight to charge the battery. Thanks to the light cell on our containers, the battery inside lasts up to ten years. Other batteries on the other hand, need to be replaced every so often. This means that someone has to drive past the containers to take out the old battery and replace it with a new one. Because this now only needs to be done once every ten years, it saves you both time and costs. In addition, you reduce CO2 emissions because it occurs less often that someone has to go out to replace batteries.
